Hillary's is written by contributing bloggers with youthful profile pictures. Two videos appear on the page along with links to featured blogs entries and a place for comments. The first entry on the site was nice because it had bullet points, but the majority of the page was very text heavy. You can tell that they are trying to be interactive and use the media to their advantage, but they aren't quite there yet in my opinion. It was potential to be more visually pleasing.
Barack's blog is also written by contributing bloggers, but this time with no pictures next to their names. Their are three videos, a slideshow, a picture and graphics throughout the first page. The only text heavy postings are that of credible news sources. One posting is bullet points to one of his presidential goals with a pdf link for more detailed information. I found this one to be more user friendly with the option to find more information.
I found Mitt Romney's blog to display to most blatent message, and it was not even political. It is written by his five sons and one daughter and really emphasizes that he is a family man. The blog is filled with countless photos of the family. It does not take a strong political standpoint bulleting out his beliefs and goals, but rather talks about the journey of the campaign.
TO SUM IT UP
I feel that their blogs could be more successful if all candidates learn from each other. Combine Hillary's youthful bloggers with Obama's easy to read site with Romney's personal family touch and you have one damn good, informative and interesting blog. All candidates can still improve on making it more interactive, though, maybe by adding reader polls.
